Northern Elements Canoe construction is Standard or Premium. Standard comes in Fiberglass with Kevlar, and Premium comes in an Innegra Basalt or Flax with Kevlar.
The Standard option has a Gelcoat outer layer and the Premium option has a woven outer Fiberglass layer, showing the technical Fabric beneath.
Structure is created with various technical fabrics, core and stiffening materials.
Both Standard and Premium are laminated by resin infusion with our Vinyl ester (Standard) or Epoxy Resin (Premium) for performance and longevity.
Whistler 14 is an easy paddling small stature canoe suitable for day tripping and recreation. With just enough room for two, it is easy to carry and transport. The 14 could also be paddled solo for independent adventures.
